Who else could have more to say on the subject of mafia and corruption in Bohemia than Josef Klíma?
He will share his experiences from the 1990s, when he met many underworld bosses and when he began to fearlessly expose the practices and entanglements in Czech society, with us at the lecture Czech Underworld.
Everyone has heard the name Josef Klíma in their lifetime, and not just once. He is considered an icon and legend of Czech journalism and one of the founders of investigative journalism in the Czech Republic.
He is also a successful writer, screenwriter, reporter, journalist and presenter. He is the recipient of the Ferdinand Peroutka Prize and the Jan Beneš Prize for Journalism.
During his professional career, he has guided us through many cases in the programmes Na vlastní oči (1994), Očima Josefa Klímy (2010, 2014), in the podcast České podvětí (The Czech Underworld) and in the magazine Reflex, as co-founder and editor-in-chief (1990-1992).
Josef Klíma is also a screenwriter for television productions based on true events, such as the films Kajínek, Naked for Sale, Wound of Grace, Denisa Klánová's Conscience, or the series Seven Steps to Power, Assassination, and Expositura (episode Volavka).
